I have been neglecting my Card Art. I haven't made anything in an entire month. It's not that I haven't been trying to get myself motivated, because I have, but boy this new job is kicking my tail. LOL!
I have signed on as one part of the new morning show on US 51 Country, 93.5. I have to be at the station at 5:00 am and I am in bed by 8:30pm. What a life huh? It's a fun job, but the schedule is NUTS!
No worries, I think my body is getting adjusted. I will be starting on Halloween this week. I made my best friends wedding shower invitations this weekend and they turned out beautiful. I will have some on display next week so if you need invitations, please keep me in mind. I do have afternoons off so I should be able to be more productive! Ha!
I'll check back in next week with pictures so tune in :-) (Did you know that tune in is a bad thing to say on air?? me neither... supposed to say, coming up or later in the hour! who knew?)
Oh and listen to us on 93.5 or www.us51country.com

Lazy Days....
I have been incredibly lazy these past few weeks. I have great intentions and then I get home from my day job and turn on the magic talking box! It has amazing powers. It renders me completely helpless.
I am hoping to get some cute new cards out this week and MAYBE get some of my pictures into a scrapbook. Fingers Crossed! I have some great pictures from the Zoo, Hot Springs, Italian Fest, and list goes on and on and on.
Taylor ( soon to be 12 years old) will be going to PA to visit her grandparents in July so I have no excuse not to scrapbook......

Exploding onto the Scene
Learning new "tricks" is sometimes time consuming but totally worth it! Coming Soon! Explosion Boxes! These super cute paper boxes are multi layered and super versatile, but my favorite thing to do is add pictures of special moments and fill the pockets with sentiments about my memories. The tie it up with a ribbon and Tadaa! Perfect little gift!
There will be an example picture posted later this weekend, hopefully, my schedule seems to fill up without my knowledge sometimes :-) I think all of us girls can relate. If time came in a bottle I would buy it in cases from Costco!

Leelou Rocks!
I am so excited about my new background and adorable blog title!! Leelou blogs did an amazing job...now comes the hard part....getting the word out.
The beauty of a handmade gift is the thought that goes into the purchase. I am always excited to receive a gift that is one of a kind and with Card Art, each item is unique and can be altered with a name, initial, favorite quote or pictures of children, family or even pets!
Slowly and lovingly, Card Art is beginning to fill up with cards for all occasions, recipe books, birthday books and gifts for graduation. Check back to see the new items each week and send me and email if you would like something made for someone special.
In a few weeks you can sign up to take a series of classes for beginner scrapbookers. If you think scrapbooking is not for you, take a class and see. You won't believe the feeling of accomplishment you get when you preserve your memories in a book that will be passed down for many many years. It's fun and not as hard as you think!
